SUNY Cortland – Dowd Fine Arts Building

Constructed in 1968, the Dowd Fine Arts Building includes the College’s Departments of Fine Arts, Performing Arts and Music. The renovation included new and reconfigured Arts’ spaces to serve current program requirements, including fiber arts, painting and drawing studios, as well as photo dark rooms and new digital media design labs. In addition, full replacement of worn out mechanical and electrical systems was provided along with improving the thermal efficiency of the existing building envelope.
