Alicia has a zest for all things creative; from striking marketing collateral to unique and invigorating business strategies.  Drawing from her diverse experience, she consistently provides solutions that are not only effective, but evoke pleasure through their aesthetic applications.  Developing, creating, arranging; these are but just a few words that describes what Alicia is charged with on a daily basis.  Through rigorous assessment techniques, she determines the most effective route for the office and the staff to take while never losing sight of the end goal; the creation of a management path that leads to the creation of a superior product, where aspirations and visions are ultimately realized.

PAUL

Paul Halvax

Sr. Project Manager

PaulH@3tarchitects.com

Having been educated at one of the regions finest schools and trained at one of the Northeast’s most reputable architectural practices, Paul isn’t just a guy with an endearing goatee.

Paul brings to 3t an excellent design sensibility with the knowledge and expertise to translate “a design vision” into a well thought out and detailed set of drawings.  He has the innate ability to anticipate and solve the integral components required to put a building together.

At Paul’s core is a deep desire for architecture that not only translates to his studio work but to the service and relationship he has with the clients.  He is our “go to guy” to get the job done and done right!

KATRINA

Katrina Hay

Interior Designer

KatrinaH@3tarchitects.com

‘Making Hay while the sun shines’ means that one needs to be highly productive when the opportunity is present. Well, hell, Katrina is that opportunity and she is ever present. Her natural design eye combined with her depth of training, work and life experiences allows her to see opportunities where others only see limitations.

Her clients, colleagues and the end users all benefit from her natural outlook that the sun always shines. At 3t we do not tune into the Weather Channel; we turn to Katrina who helps us all see the opportunities where hay can be made, no matter the forecast.

GEOFF

Geoff MacDonald

Partner/Studio Director

GeoffM@3tarchitects.com

When the wry smirk emerges one knows an accomplishment lurks behind it.  Geoff’s accomplishments are quite varied.  It is most likely an epiphany about how to solve a problem for a client and for the betterment of the project.  It also could be the formulation of an on point wise crack.  Geoff’s playfulness with his colleagues in the studio makes us all smirk; not just him.

Paralleling the playfulness is the deep focus he has to make sure that 3t provides only the best service and creates the best possible end products for all of 3t’s clients.  Though not funny, it is an accomplishment worthy of a wry smirk.

Shashi Nocera

Senior Project Manager

ShashiN@3tarchitects.com

Shashi takes the word ‘skills’ to a whole new level. With over 12 years of experience ranging from Campus and Facilities Planning, to oftentimes tedious Code Review, she is able to take pieces of any project and make one solid whole. She feeds on learning and forever uses her knowledge to grow and help others along the way.

Don’t misunderstand, Shashi isn’t just books and brains, she has a zest for life and loves the outdoors. A daily run or tennis match is just the thing to help her round out her day. Although we at 3t know that while she’s playing tennis, she’s calculating her next move on her project assignments.

CHAD

Chad Stewart

Senior Architect

ChadS@3tarchitects.com

Chad started his career in Boston where he worked for big city firms, until he found his way back home to the Capital District. His quiet demeanor, outward calm and playful smile is what you can expect to see on a daily basis, but don’t let that fool you. Once Chad opens up, expect great conversation, clever wit and deep knowledge of all things architecture and design. His attained depth makes him invaluable to anyone working with him; be it in-house collaboration with staff members or working directly with 3t’s array of clients and consultants. We at 3t are lucky to have Chad as an integral part of our team and not only can we count on him for a correct project path; but just as important, the witty one-liners that get us through the day.

SCOTT

Scott Townsend

Partner/Design Director

ScottT@3tarchitects.com

Architecture is a blend of art and science, of creation and cultivation, of beauty and functionality. Having directed an architectural practice for over 20 years, Scott not only embraces theses dualities, but embodies the balance between them. Driven by a passion to pursue socially relevant projects, Scott draws upon his intimate familiarity with the region to reinvigorate and transform neighborhoods and buildings in need. He brings to each design endeavor his unique sophistication, relishing the statement of refined detail. When he is not in the studio, Scott is behind the scenes keeping 3t successful with the same intensity and flair he invests in his design.

Any architect will tell you that simplicity is the most complex thing to achieve. Scott’s philosophy is to do what he loves to do, with people he enjoys, and have fun doing it. Ask him how he does it all and he’ll tell you…it’s very simple.
